     The first chapter of John 1;6-9 says that ' there was a man whose name was John, and that this man came to bear witness of the Light, that all, through Him might believe.He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.That was the true Light which Lighteth every man who comes into the world.This Light the bible is refering to is, of course, Jesus. Proverbs 20-27 says that 'the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord,' but in order for a candle to have light it must be lit. You see, if you are alive in this world, it is because you have had a physical birth. In John 3;3, Jesus tells Nicodemus, that in order to see the kingdom of God, man must also have spiritual birth.In other words, our candle (spirit) must be lit by Jesus.'He is the true Light, which gives Light to every man who comes into the world,John 1;9.

     Hi, my name is Tom Diller and welcome to Tom's Bible Study.  I began reading the bible sometime around 1980, and I am still reading it.  Over the years, I've learned many things from the bible, and these are the things I want to share with you.This study comes directly from the bible and is helpful to people of all christian faiths.I am hoping to be a faithful servent and take the talent that God has given me and share what I know about Jesus with my kids and grand kids and whoever else would like to read this.                                                                                                                                                             The first three lessons of this study will show you what the bible says about Gods salvation,followed by a simple salvation prayer. The bible tells us that we are the house of God and lessons 5-10 will show you Gods desire to lay His foundation and build His house within us. A foundation based on Gods Word and a house built on love,forgiveness, and faith. It is also His desire that we learn what His voice sounds like and that we grow up from spiritual babes to spiritual adults.In lessons 11-16 you will see that God has provided us with all of the armor of God, and mighty spiritual weapons to engage in spiritual warfare.And finally, lessons 17-22 are important subjects that you should have knowledge of.
