Acts 2:1-4, "Now when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with The Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Sometime in the early 1980s, I began to realize that the Baptism of The Holy Spirit was actually like the experience described in Acts chapter 2. So I sincerely asked God to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and decided to recieve it by faith. My experience began to develope in the days, weeks, and months after I asked to recieve the baptism. I began to have a great desire to read the bible, especially everything that Jesus said. I started to read the Gospels, Matthew Mark, Luke and John, and after I finished I would read them over and over again. Then I did the same thing with all of the Epistles. The gift that The Holy Spirit gave to me is what I would have to describe as "inward illumination". It was an inner light of knowing. God was shinning His light within me. John 1:4," In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." In the 35 + years since, I have never stopped reading the bible. There is always a river of scripture flowing within me. This is why I finally let the river flow on to the pages of this bible study booklett. John 7:38." He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water"
