The Precious Blood of Jesus
- Written by Tom Diller
The next gift that God the Father has given us is the precious blood of Jesus. Romann 5:9, "Much more then, having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."It is the blood of Jesus that justifies us. It declares us not guilty, and also makes us righteous. It gives us right standing with the Father.Because of the blood of Jesus, the powers of darkness have no more hold on us.Look at colossians 1:13-14,"He (The Father) has delivered us from the powers of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of HIs love, in whom we have redempton through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." You see the Blood of Jesus has given us redemption, and the forgiveness of sins.It has reconciiled us to the Father. Ephesians 2:13-14,"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been made near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one,and has broken down the middle wall of division between us." Jesus is our peace with the Father. He has broken down the wall of sin that separates us from the Father. Jesus bled from His head, His hands, His feet, and His side. I believe that all of this has great meaning. To a person of faith, the name of Jesus, and the blood of Jesus are great and powerful spiritual gifts.

Now I would like to show you a number of scriptures from the book of Acts which will show you how the Name of Jesus helped to establish the early church. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones recieved strenght. Acts 3:16,"And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." Acts 4:7and 10, by what power or by what name have you done this? Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Isreal, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole." The Name of Jesus

As christians, we need to realize, believe and understand the awesome power and authority that is in the name of Jesus. And that as christians, we have been given the authority to use the name of Jesus. The scriptures can explain this much better than I can. Phillippians 2:9-11," Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." Hebrews 1:3-4," God the Father says of Jesus,"that He is the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person. And in verse 4 " that He (Jesus) having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they." John15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my name He may give you." Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesturday, today, and forever. I believe that God is going to continue to reveal to His church the awesome power and authority that is in The Name of Jesus. Now I want to show you the powerful impact that the Name of Jesus had on the early church in the book of Acts. In The Name of Jesus continued study, pay special attention to the reaction of the jews and pharisees when the apostiles and early church performed many healings and meracles using the Name of Jesus. They were beaten, then commanded not to speak or teach in the Name of Jesus.
