A  foundation that is built on Gods Word will contain many bricks. But there are two bricks that must be a part of everyones foundation. The first brick is love.Everything we do in life, all of our dealings with family, friends, and all people must be based on love.1 John 4:16 says that," God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.1 John 3:23 tells us that "This is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment." And also 1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."                                                          The next brick that must be in our foundation is forgiveness. Matthew 6 14-15 says, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But, if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither wil your Father forgive your trespasses.Ephesians 4:30-32 tells us "do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you."

1 Corinthians 3:11  says " For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." In life everyone is going to have problems. Some small and some large. If the foundation within us is based on the Word of God, we will be so much better equiped to deal with the problems that come our way.A house built on a weak, faulty foundation is going to have a lot of problems However, a house built on a solid foundation, based on Gods Word, will be able to withstand the winds, and rain, and heavy snows that life will bring.                                                                         When we think of Jesus, we probably think of Him as the Son of God, cruxified and risen, and that He shed His precious blood for us.But, do you ever think of Him as being the Word of God? John 1:1-2, tells us that "In the begining was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the begining with God. And in John 1:14, it says, "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. In the King James version of the bible, 1John5:7 refers to Jesus completely as the Word. " For there are three who bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.And again, in Revelation 19:13," He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.In Matthew 4:4, Jesus says,"It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God " And in Matthew 24:35, Jesus says "heaven and will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away."You see there is no other foundation that anyone can lay, but that which is Jesus Christ. And Jesus is the Word of God.This lesson and the following lessons of this bible study are designed to help you lay Gods foundation and build His house within you.

In 1 Peter 1:23, it says that " that we have been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever." You see an acorn is a seed. Within the acorn everything that the oak tree is, is contained in the seed. Its width, length, depth, height, symetry, and the strength of the oak tree is contained in this little seed, and just as all the qualities of the oak tree are contained in the acorn, so it is with Jesus. When we are born again of the incorruptible seed, everything that Jesus is, is put within our spirit.                                                                                     There are three things that the acorn needs to live and grow,     sun light, water, and good soil. There are also three things that the incorruptible seed within us needs to live and grow. Number one is, Son Light (Jesus). Read John 1:1-14. Number two is, Living Water. Read John 4:10. And number three is, the good soil of our heart. Read Luke 8: 11-15.
